not of war, it is peaceful here.

I have heard such dreadful stories

of casualties, these days

and before. senseless.

I would screw my words

if it would help.

I can help this one,

a victim of the

hot and dandy night.

I will show you his photograph.

I took her into the woods, the grass was

too long, though cooler there,

she was too small.

:: man on a bath ::

where is the power house,
metal books he said.

concrete palaces for those
that prey.

he grew it plant like,
fought it,
numbered it

glue boards of writing
stuckt with words.

drawing into the process
of nothing,
his life of mind
in metal made large.

I am small in this place.

I have seen him take photographs.

i am small in this place

slate looms large
thrown unbalanced
waiting for water
to start the slide

small boys know to run
at the noise, shelter
from the war.

I know no such thing,
my soul slides into mud,

i am small

now it is installed,
I can write of it.

my husband’s portraits,
in the first cabinet,
locked, precious.
a photograph below,
pickled in time, sweet to the touch.

the top is the negative side of him.

the middle is reflective,
the mirror smashed.

bell jars are easy, chain store,
small dome more difficult,
borrowed from his grave
when the ants crept.

larger dome is mine. part
of my memorial piece, my
space reserved six years ago,
due to the high water level
in that hallowed ground.

we will lay side by side to molder.

now it is installed I can write of it.

lower shelf, the guilt I felt ,
about most things, nurtured
this way it still remains.

yet now it is locked away
in the glass cabinet.

two portraits of a lover,
you may know of him?

the secret pickled,
sent out into the world
for all to see. irony.

sealed. the waxy string
is wax and string.

say no more.
it is done.

The red string of fate, also referred to as the red thread of destiny, red thread of fate, and other variants, is an East Asian belief originating from Chinese legend and is also used in Japanese legend. According to this myth, the gods tie a red cord around the ankles of those that are to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger. According to Chinese legend, the deity in charge of “the red thread” is believed to be Yuè Xià Lǎo (月下老, often abbreviated to “Yuèlǎo” [月老]), the old lunar matchmaker god who is also in charge of marriages.
The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmates or a destined flame.

I should have replied before, sometimes work takes over, I am preparing an installation for Bodelwyddan Castle. At present my office is in the garden. I will attach a photo, do not take it badly, as we all hope soon, you will be home.

It is warm and sunny, yet the breeze blows nicely, and I can see Cader Idris from here. We had a lazy walk along the lane, dusty now in this heat. Minnie ( the dog ) is slow. I leaned at the bridge while she caught up.

I hope you have a decent view from your window. Do not worry about replying, unless you want.

I hope you are alright today, and that things improve.

:: bound ::

People’s lives are affected by commitments and restrictions, either through love or wider cultural issues.

Dolls have been used in role play in childhood and in the adult world for centuries. Research has proved that inanimate objects still provoke feeling and reaction.

To this end my work takes these ideas into account and presents its own story. Small lives.
:: bound ::
tied; in bonds: a bound prisoner.
made fast as if by a band or bond: She is bound to her family.
secured within a cover, as a book.
under a legal or moral obligation: He is bound by the terms of the contract.
destined; sure; certain: It is bound to happen.

~ 21 & writing alone ~

I used to write alone.

gradual public appearance,
now slowly and slowly.

yet after whiles,
i can write in public, in plas newydd
and places, places.

people talk , enquire, join
in the general converstaion.

when people are dying, others
fret over the little
things, that
should not matter.

i know. i did.

new place, new faces.

i am enjoying projects
regarding love letters,
never sent, to be sent.

i am smaller now, slightly brown,
enjoying the things i do.

treasure your friendship,
however difficult.

i wish i could start again, some times,
be a traveller, enquire on new things,
yet there may be time.

enjoy your exhibition,
viewing, tell me of it.

when you are settled,
i may come.

sincerely yours
